How to: Create Hierarchy Relations

Hierarchy Relations combine two Hierarchies and let you create Relations between the Hierarchy's Nodes. A Hierarchy Relation can have a Starting Date which makes it possible to have multiple Hierarchy Relations with the same name but with different dates. This is used to have a history available or to change Hierarchy Relations for future dates.

To create a Hierarchy Relation

1. Open the Hierarchy Relation card, and click New.
2. Fill the Code, Description, and Starting Date fields.
3. Fill the Hierarchy (Left) and Hierarchy (Right) fields.

Note: The Hierarchy (Left) and Hierarchy (Right) fields are easily switched by clicking Reverse Left and Right Hierarchy on the Actions menu.
